(521 posts)Now that the primaries are on the verge of ending. She really had to walk on eggshells and wear kid gloves up against Sanders, but now she can let loose. She really owns that stage.

(10,323 posts)She's better when she's relaxed and little snarky. I cringe when the speaker yells as though there is no microphone, including Hillary, Sanders and mostly Trump.

(53,655 posts)Everyone was so excited. It had been announced just the night before as an added stop via text message to supporters in the area. I live only 10 minutes away so I decided to skip out of work early and go.
People had lined up for hours in the hot sun. When I got there the line was winding way down the street and as it grew, people feared they'd never get in because it was a small venue. I got in, but it was standing room only. The crowd was very diverse. Westminster is in Orange County, CA, and this venue was in an area called Little Saigon, with a large Vietnamese - American population.
In the parking lot I saw this cool Hillary supporter with her Hillarymobile:
Here's pics from inside. It was so touching to see parents there with their young daughters on their shoulders. Hillary was so upbeat and fun. At one point her mic went out and she joked that "I know I shouldn't shout..." (harkening back when Bernie suggested she was shouting when talking about gun contol!) Her Trump U comments brought a roar of laughter. The crowd was incredibly enthusiastic. After her speech she went down into the audience (the Secret Service looked bummed!) and shook hands and took selfies for people as the crowd surged forward to all try to get near her. Even though I was about three rows of people back, I reached my hand through their heads (I'm pretty tall with long arms) and shouted her name. Hillary heard me and reached through the heads and shook my hand! So cool!!

(53,655 posts)She was so sweet with the crowd, staying long after her speech to shake hands and take selfies. After she shook my hand, I left, my feet couldn't take it anymore. I had been standing over 3 hours at that point. She was still shaking hands when I left. I don't know where she gets her stamina!!

(53,655 posts)She spoke without a teleprompter, joked and spoke like she was talking to friends...because she was! She is so warm and has a great sense of humor. I am delighted to have had a chance to see her this way. So often she is being attacked and has to be on her guard. When she lets loose, she is a hoot! I hope we see a lot more of her like this!

That's the side she's taking down trump with.
You are so Lucky! You live 10 minutes from Hillary's last minute event and made a decision to take off work early to go see her..
The Stars were aligned, baby!
Very cool that you shook her hand. Love the pictures.
