I'm sure the meeting this morning was civil, but I'm also betting it was Obama laying it on the line to Bernie.

I'd say an avalanche of endorsements are all the leverage he really needs.

He's already doing very well at working toward unity. Best to let that continue as it is.

When I read that Sanders responded with silence, when he was asked about his reaction to Obama's endorsing Hillary, I asked myself: Is Sanders a broken and defeated man, or is he plotting his next move? Why am I so unable to trust him? What about his character leads me to believe that he still wants to cause trouble? Time will tell. I sincerely hope my suspicions are unjustified.

They effectively kicked him and his stillborn revolution to the curb. The D power players have in one day changed the narrative, and Sanders isn't part of that narrative. Not yet.

Of course, they'll welcome him into the Hillary tent should he see the light, but they're moving forward without him at this point. If he doesn't come on board, any protest he or his followers mount at the convention will be seen as taking place outside of the Party. They may as well be the Greens. They won't be seen as Dems.

Again, Sanders' political amateurism was exposed for all to see today. He pushed his way into a meeting at the WH, a move he thought was a power play on his part. But just like Wile E Coyote chasing the Road Runner, Bernie charged in through the front door, after which Obama did nothing to impede his self-serving momentum, opened the back door and allowed Sanders to run himself right off the cliff.

His departure will be an afterthought. It's too bad, really. Had he withdrawn Tuesday night/Wednesday, he would have gotten a lot more attention and positive reporting.

So as to get great coverage for their endorsements and for HRC!!

Sanders can do what he wants but most everyone else is ready to get going on taking down Trump. That's the focus now. As it should be.

....there's still Jimmy Carter and some other high-level Democrats/superdelegates.

Merkley has already told Sanders it's over so he may flip, she got a couple of union and organizational endorsements, and on and on.
