Just thinking about that is pretty damn amazing. I am going to miss President Obama so much. Can't believe in almost half a year he will be leaving. But wow...amazing times.

(1,630 posts)The synchronicity of all of the events makes it feel like everything is meant to be. It has been absolutely poetic and beautiful. We are living in a wonderful time in history. I miss Obama already and am looking forward to seeing a lot more of him on the campaign trail. Can't wait to see these two campaigning together!
Loving this pic!

(521 posts)- The mother of the first woman nominated for president by a major political party was born on the same day (June 4, 1919) that the Senate passed the 19th Amendment, allowing women to vote.
- The daughter of the first black president, who coincidentally was born on July 4, turning 18 this year and casting her first vote for the first woman nominee.
- Hillary winning the nomination on the same day (June 7) she conceded her campaign in 2008.
- And if it all goes according to plan, the first black president passing the presidential baton to the first female president on January 20, 2017. (Both courtesy of the Democratic Party, thank you very much!)
BTW: Remember when Obama gave his acceptance speech at the DNC on August 28, 2008? Coincidentally, it was 45 years to the day that Martin Luther King, Jr. addressed the March on Washington. Some saw that as a sign at the time, since many feel that MLK should've/would've been a great president.

(30,058 posts)Disastrous time after the presidency of George W, so much was wrong, and he can be credited for so much, saving the auto industry, getting ACA passed, he has left a mark on history. The US credibility was low in the world, this was a project undertaken by Obama and Hillary, when ask what Hillary did as SOS, it was to reestablish the creditability with other nations spoiled by the Bush administration.
