chris matthews asked a repub last

night and another one tonight (no one famous) why there's so much hate against hillary.

last night he got a response that it went back to the 80s when she decided to use the name hillary rodham. said many people in arkansas were not happy with that. then he went on and on.

tonight the person brought up benghazi to which matthews replied that she had been cleared. so he went back to whitewater, etc. the clintons actually lost money on that deal, but it prompted an investigation and the rest is history.

the only thing bill was convicted of was lying about lewinsky, but they blame hillary for her husband's indiscretions.

what bothers me most is so many people believe the lies the repubs put out there.

how can we get the truth out there.

.....and those who make the difference already know the rhetoric is crap. All we need to do is get off our asses and vote. Conservatives lose when democrats vote

Man's capacity to believe is incredible.

Man's capacity to disbelieve is mind-boggling.

fiduciary responsibilities as our fourth estate (and watchdog of the rich and powerful).

The abundance of lies about the Clintons, President Obama, and any and all Democrats are rarely if ever challenged, and when they're finally "corrected", this happens days sometimes weeks later, and those corrections usually end up on page A-26 or deeper buried in print, and only barely mentioned (most times quickly mumbled and then forgotten) by talking heads on teevee.

This has got to change.

1) So many Trump supporters are racist, misogynist, and sexist. If you give them proof positive, they will refuse to believe you. It is as simple as that.
2) Trump knew early on that a shit storm of major proportions would get out in the media about his past crap, so he started with the "media can't be trusted" campaign almost from the beginning.
3) If you have your supporters believe that the media simply can't be trusted, where else do they have to turn for information (the truth)?

Personally, in my experience here in red country, it just doesn't matter. These people will ONLY listen to what they want to hear. I'm a woman, a nice one, and I never ram my opinions down other people's throats, but the times when I've stood up for Hillary and Obama because the hatred was so incredible (and I felt relatively safe in a public environment), I've been physically threatened. It doesn't matter what you say or how you phrase it, their minds are closed shut.

I'm simply waiting for them to all die off. I really think the majority of this vitriol is coming from old, white men.
