Hillary Clinton
Related: About this forumRecently polls very similar to Romney/Obama, looks fine for Hillary
If you look at the polls in September 2012, the numbers were almost identical to what they are now. And *mysteriously* in late September the Fox poll started to trend upward for the republican and stayed that way until the election, just as it's starting to do now. But one of the most accurate pollsters in 2012 was Abc/WashPost, and their last poll had Hillary up 51/43.
After September Romney was actually pulling ahead in many polls (not in the abc poll though), as Trump has started to. In the end it was all bullshit. Obama had it.
Trump's major Achilles heel all along is the same as Romney's. He tops out at around 46-47 but averages around 42. That's actually worse than Romney.
Maybe in my next post I'll look at the 2012 polls in the swing states.
I'm not worried.

(27,995 posts)I'm not worried either. But, I'll still be working hard on the GOTV effort, especially for our congressional candidates.

(27,995 posts)I've been phone banking which always lifts my spirits. I'm in a red area, but many people that we call are excited to vote for Hillary, and as one woman told me on the phone today, "we can't let that awful Trump anywhere near the White House!" Amen!

(1,307 posts)I have been a state of near depression with the polls showing the worse Trump acts the better his numbers. I feel better now.
