Secret Facebook group is giving Clinton supporters so much hope

If you're like many pundits who question whether Hillary Clinton has a devoted, passionate fan base, try checking behind closed doors.

On Pantsuit Nation, a secret Facebook group for Clinton supporters, more than a million people (and counting) have gathered to share emotional reflections on why they're voting for the first female presidential candidate from a major political party.

The diverse testimonials have one thing in common: they gush over Clinton. Many contributors, however, talk about how they fear sharing those sentiments with family, friends and neighbors. There are pictures of Clinton lawn signs that have been resurrected after vandalism and selfies of people who've just been confronted by Trump supporters but stayed calm.

Those anxieties give way to an outpouring of gratitude from supporters, both men and women, who feel like they've finally found their "tribe." There are joyful pictures from people who've voted early and photos of women born before suffrage who just cast a ballot for Clinton.

I was added last week when it was 250k. Today it's quickly approaching 1.4 MILLION. I have been literally moved to tears of joy and pain reading amazing stories from people all over the world. My FB feed is a beautiful stream of hope, triumph and inspiration.

The stories include that of the great granddaughter of Earl Warren, children and grandchildren of suffragettes, conservatives crossing party lines, women who survived abuse and women who paved the way for the rest of us.

This group is fundraising, phone-banking, canvassing and proof that there's no fucking enthusiasm gap and that the Clinton campaign has an excellent ground game.

It's really been great. If you want an invite, please PM me. Though I suspect most of the HRC DUers are already there.

It's over 1.5 million now.

I saw a post by Gerald and Betty Ford's granddaughter Susan Ford and by one woman whose mother who was one of Sonia Johnsons' Mormons for ERA who chained themselves to the Bellevue Temple. So much herstory!

breath of fresh air - in many ways similar to this group.

But no trolls can wander in as they please to poop all around.

I don't currently own an actual pantsuit, but I do have a black jacket and pants I will wear with an electric pink shirt. I think our girl has worn this color combo. I will wear it with short black boots. I am debating pearls...
