Appreciation Thread For Hillary Clinton. She broke that ceiling.

Okay, you can love or hate her. However I believe that the hate is misplaced and sexist.

She ran an amazing campaign against all odds. The odds, so many men refuse to accept a woman as an equal. She was held to a different level of acceptance by the media. She was trashed by them all.

She broke the ceiling as the first woman to ever become our Presidential Candidate For the United States. FIRST AND SHE BROKE IT.

Then...then she won the popular vote by over a million.

Raise your hand please.

....with long faces on "How she lost it for the Democrats," or any of that bullshit.

SHE WON, and every Democrat who appears in the media in any capacity should be honor-bound to make those the first words out of his or her mouth in any discussion of the way forward.

The Electoral College has got to go. Senator Barbara Boxer put forward a bill to that effect today. It will go nowhere in the moment, but we the people need to take it up.

Furthermore, there should be a law, and I mean a LAW, against allowing the media to call a presidential election before the absentee ballots are counted. They are still being counted, and Hillary is adding to her total all the time. A presidential election is not some form of entertainment for the financial benefit of the television stations. It's deadly serious.

Gods, it's good to be back home. I love our other home, but even so.

My heart is with her. Even though, now I'm still in shock, to be honest.

I've been lost, I'm glad to be back amongst friends.

I took all your voices for granted I think, and I'm so very sorry. When you were cut off from me, I realized how much reading you, all of you, meant to me. I want to thank you all collectively.

I appreciate you one and all.

You make me feel so much less lost and alone in this.

I can't thank you enough right now. Honestly, I can't.

But that electoral college has got to go! Elections should be won by popular vote.

I'm afraid we're going to have to hide in this forum again. The PostMortem is getting ugly.

I love her. What a wonderful role model she is. I would never have been able to take all the abuse and still keep going. She never gives up, she always does the right thing for others and it will be a very long time before anyone does as much for this country and the world as she has.

Our hearts are broken, but not because of her but for her.

Constant, small cracks in that glass ceiling. It is going to come crashing down one day. (and I hope it is on Trump's head.)

The only person who won a larger number of votes than she did was President Obama.

I am so heartbroken that this country will not be benefiting from her talents, experience, intelligence, honesty, and hard work over the next four years.
