Adding to that, thank you to outgoing interim Senator Mo Cowan. Best wishes to him and his family.

(27,315 posts)but I made the error to come back to DU this morning and I am so depressed.
DU is no more a progressive board caring about people and issues. It is at best a board where those who would support Obama whatever he does and those who have never thought he was progressive enough fight. And even this is a generous interpretation IMHO.
We have just seen a few important things happening including the doubling of the interest on student loans, serious restrictions of women's rights (I am talking about rules closing women's health clinics throughout the country).
So, F*ck you, self proclaim progressives. If you want to have a discussion about the security complex,do it. This is an issue, but spending hours on a plane flying or not flying about Spain and France.
Frankly, I have had enough (and please do not tell me it is the left. This is not the issue. I think it is the lack of interest of people here for issues affecting poor people). So long.

(19,581 posts)There is no more discussion any longer, no more weighing sides. Frankly, it has lost it edge and most who still post frequently are just part of a chorus.
and another +1 for wisteria's post.
