A huge Milestone for this Group quite soon now!

yes, I was just thinking.

The DUJK group will celebrate next November, or so, its already ten years anniversary!!! Sounds crazy isn't it? How, the times can past sooo fast.

(Although I signed up DU only in 2010, and starde posting at DUJK only this year, ( at the time of my registration, you couldn't posting in groups without paying, and so I couldn't afford, and therefore access), but I have followed you as a guest since 2008? and browsed your archive since 2004.)

So, in advance, an happy Birthday, to all members, still active or not! ( Oh, how I wish some former active members I had the immense delight to read them in archived discussion could be still on, but heh, everyuone here is wonderfull!)

...isn't it? Hard to believe it's been that long sometimes....

I too miss many long time posters but I would suspect some still lurk around here. Maybe some will check in for DUJK anniversary online celebration?

Thank you for the lovely post.

I want to thank all of you who have supported John Kerry. My entire reasoning for becoming a member of DemocraticUnderground is because of my support, and my thirst for knowledge & the eagerness I felt deep inside me as a 14 year old young man to pick everyone and anyones brain about the inner workings of the Kerry Presidential Campaign & how I could possibly help in electing this man the 44th President of the United States of America..

I have never been more passionate about anything, ive never been so sure of anything or anyone in my entire life than I was & proudly still am that John Forbes Kerry would have, could have & should have been the 44th President of the United States of America.

I only wish you could read my very real and very very passionate postings of my support of John Kerry in 2004. He was not my 2nd choice in the Democratic primary, he was my first and only candidate that lit a fire under my ass to do everything and anything I could to help elect him as President in 2004.

At 14 I can still remember vividly the day my dad allowed me to leave school early to attend a John Kerry for President Rally at Fifth-Third Field In Dayton, Ohio On October 19, 2004 in Dayton, Ohio in which he was joined onstage by American hero John Glenn. My parents are members of the UAW union so my Dad and I got so close to the stage at one point JK even looked me in the eye. My biggest regret in my life is that we didnt bring a camera to the rally because we didnt think we would be allowed in with one.

He gave the greatest speech I have ever heard, the crowd was passionate, I was in awe, and my dad was by my side watching as I became mesmermized, by not only John Kerry as a Presidential Candidate, but John Kerry as a person, and to this day I will never ever forget that rally or the words he spoke to the packed baseball stadium.

Yet to this very day I cannot find any video of that Dayton rally I attended, I cannot find any pictures of that rally, I cannot find any text or transcript of that rally, and I would absolutely love to find something, anything, related to that rally that magical and life changing night in Dayton, Ohio.

John Kerry is my hero. John Kerry is my idol. I only wish that John Kerry was my President....

If anyone can find anything associated with the October 19th John Kerry Rally at Fifth-Third Field in Dayton, Ohio, I would appreciate it sooo much!

But Happy 10 years to the JK forum, and cheers to 10 more...
