(9,282 posts)There will be a campaign redux soon, and things are bound to liven up in here.

(6,954 posts)If not enough people subscribe, I think our little group will be eliminated. They are trying to weed out unused groups. It was posted on the "Announcements" page. We should post a note on FB and probably the old DU as well.

(9,282 posts)I'm in breathless anticipation of the campaign season.

(62,683 posts)I'm kind of looking forward to it because last time after we had a candidate, the in-fighting stopped (for the most part ). This time, people will still be whining about Obama and how they just can't vote for him -- or WORSE, that Hillary should have taken Joe's place.
Perish the thought!

(9,282 posts)Haven't tried it. Notice replies in full view are now indented. Full view also seems to be the default. Many new aspects to learn.

(62,683 posts)LOTS of new stuff to learn! What an enormous undertaking by Skinner and the gang -- and so far, pretty damn good!

(49,831 posts)No more role playing games for me, but I still play some Scrabble.
gateley
(62,683 posts)And do you play scrabble against someone?
PatSeg
(49,831 posts)I love the "My Posts" feature!
Oh, I just burned out. It was becoming more like an obligation than fun.
I play Scrabble with several relatives and I usually get beat. For stress relief I play Bejeweled Blitz, which requires no commitment at all.

(49,831 posts)Nothing like being in control.
My sister is a Scrabble Shark, but it just makes it sweeter the few times I do beat her.

(62,683 posts)Someone linked to DU2 (where you can still post, by the way) and just going there felt like "ahhhhh" coming home. We'll adapt and adjust, I'm sure. Skinner, et al, didn't go through all this work just for the hell of it, I'm sure the wisdom of the changes will become more apparent to us as we become more familiar.
PatSeg
(49,831 posts)that seemed to be missing, but now I'm starting to see all the cool stuff. Wish the Home page was more interesting, but I think I'm going to like it.

(49,831 posts)at the extreme opposition I've read. A lot of people say they're leaving forever. Its always a challenge to navigate a new website. There were features at DU2 that I didn't find for a long time.
