By pay i mean cold hard cash, i personally think what two or three people do isntheir own business as long as its consenting adults. What say you.

(29,047 posts)I didn't have much interest in the coke, I mostly just wanted to do something inappropriate, according to "society." I did enjoy the coke though.

(5,580 posts)People seem to not realise that there are people who enjoy sex and want to get paid for it. If your vocation is your vacation then you got it made as they say.

If it were really someone I wanted to have sex with, or possibly a bet. Though, I must say, I usually can get it when needed, if not, my hand ain't broke! Of course, I have a partner now, so it is usually based on mutual desire/need. When I was younger, I was offered cash multiple times, only accepted once.
ETA: Personally, I think new apps ("Grindr" for gays) and sites (and boy howdy are there a shitload) make sexual encounters much easier and more of a sure thing, then hanging out in a bar, cruising a park, or what have you.

(1,508 posts)Like, I can't physically perform unless the other person is sincerely into me. I suppose I could take a BJ from anyone and it would eventually work but I'd feel weird to pay for it. What turns me on is the other person wanting to do it. For that reason I couldn't be a gigalo either, at least not a good one. I have to be attracted to the person that's paying me and I doubt I would be.
So, no.

Anyway, I see nothing wrong with consensual sex, even if money changes hands. Every other function or activity of life we pay for-- why not sex?
In many cases, we'd all probably be better off paying a pro, male or female, to avoid the emotional, and possibly legal, hassles and have it done right.
In fact, I wouldn't mind seeing a class of adults whose job it is to introduce kids reaching a certain age to the joy of sex without the pain or the hassle. The thought would undoubtedly blow a few minds, but having high school sex ed being really sex ed would likely reduce rape, unintended pregnancy, and vast amounts of teen angst and drama.

(18,318 posts)I don't fundamentally understand the payment aspect, but that is me. At my age, I still miss the active sex life, but not that much, and I think that is on balance a good thing. Lately, the only "offers" have come from married women, or women much, much younger who had some thousand yard stare issues going on. Would still like an occasional mutual release of endorphins.

Serious answer? No. And no. I'm not going to judge other peoples' choices if they're consenting adults, though.

(1,695 posts)I'll be honest, I feel like my younger self of 15-20 or so years ago would have paid and loved to be paid. I was a kid with raging hormones and I was lonely. Took me awhile to get a "rap" with women. But I got better at approaching and talking to them. And a few dates in, I was confident enough in myself to enjoy being single. And now I enjoy being married.
