Nurses are already complaining about this bill on social media. They are pretty angry with this bill.

Nurses are in high demand, and should be treated like any other traveling free-lancer. No one tops out their pay. Doctors do the same thing, as do other highly skilled or technical professions, and have done so for years.

Pay nurses what they are worth to stay put and you won't have a problem.

If we’re going to put a cap on pay, can we start with CEOs? Why go after nurses just when market demand makes it possible for them to earn solidly middle class, maybe even upper middle class, income for a change?

Call me when Surgeon or Dermatologist, or hospital administrator pay gets capped.

yep, cap executive pay and campaign donations by non-profits and for profit health and pharmaceutical businesses.

They are asking to investigate the temp agencies that doubled and tripled their rates when Covid hit. Assuming those increases were passed onto the nurses is just that, an assumption. If the agencies haven’t done anything wrong they don’t have anything to worry about.

Of course I'm against this but it's worded strangely. The cap would be against the staffing agency, not the nurses themselves, in other words the company employing them that sends them out to the hospitals. What there should be is a cap against the administrative costs and how much the staffing company can take versus what they charge the hospitals. Just as with home care agencies, the cost of what you pay to have somebody come in to check on you or bathe you, is not the wage the person is actually getting.

Congress won't do anything about the rising cost of pharmaceuticals (or gas, housing and food), but they'll nickle and dime people putting their lives at risk caring for anti-vaxxers.
