Quote for the Day:

All of us have had to respond to the changed economic and political conditions of the last decade. What do you do when you feel that somehow your favorable historical moment has passed, that people don't like you any more, that your friends now consider your "obsessions" passé, that attacks are hitting you not only personally but economically (and this at a time when jobs are scarce and money tight), and that the freedom, conviction, support, and energy that sustained you are somehow gone? (The following is not a list of Things to Do but rather Things to be Wary Of.)

bought eTrade a year ago. Now eTrade from Morgan Stanley is being converted to Morgan Stanley Smith Barney. Why do I expect higher fees, not as much freedom?

Markets on pause all day despite averages moving sharply higher, except for NASDAQ. Like we're waiting on something.

Billionaires gotta make money somewhere. They sure aren't gonna make it off other billionaires.
