U.S. import prices rise 0.1% in September on higher fuel prices; export prices up 0.7%

U.S. import prices increased 0.1 percent in September following a 0.6-percent advance in August. Prices for U.S. exports rose 0.7 percent in September, after increasing 1.1 percent the previous month. Over the past year, import prices dropped 1.7 percent and export prices fell 4.1 percent.
