I'm paying $2.10 a gallon for gas.

I get a 30% discount on the highway by driving 10 under the speed limit and up to 40% in the city by staying off the brakes and gas. I use a soft touch on the gas and brake pedals. I pull over to let others go around me, just to be nice.

$2.10 a gallon is great. At that rate you can afford to not be the one... brush Sep 19 #1

My last and only ticket was in 1990 for ten over. I had just gotten off the free way and that can throw you off.
I also save a lot on insurance.

Joe Biden energy broker reduced volatility in oil markets by partnering with Big Oil and managed to hit the low end of prices just around election time. Joe told the country, and Republicans specifically, at SOTU 2024, "I am a capitalist!"

I guess so!!!

you get a lot of road raging drivers right up on your bumper before you get a chance to let them go by. There's so many people in a big rush.

I laugh at those that get pissed and think about their blood pressure, not mine.
If someone is in a hurry, they should have started earlier. I’d bet most of those folks are just out for a drive.
I pulled into a rest area and a guy came up to me and asked if knew what the speed limit was. I said yes, do you know what the speed minimum is, I was driving 10 over
It. He shook his head and walked away.

We haven’t seen $4.50 here for close to 20 years.

Plus, since a little over ten years ago, Germany slapped VAT on the gas tax included in the pump price. The tax is about 2/3 of the total by price. The German constitution forbids double taxation. I asked a friend who is a judge on the tax court here. He wrote his doctorate on double taxation. I asked him why the double taxation was still standing. He asked me if I was willing to instigate a class action suit against the German government over the extra €4.83 I pay when I fill my tank? That’s why.
