Are union. The rest are not, particularly those who own their trucks or a small fleet. Drivers at large corporations are often unionized but not all and the companies fight against it, remember Amazon in Alabama last year?

As an owner operator but I have driven for numerous other type operations.

Of what it's like now, I retired in 1992. But I saw very little improvement in the plight of the drivers since the mid 1970s so there's that.
