OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Employees at an Omaha Starbucks location have voted to unionize.

Workers at the store located at 125th Street and West Center Road voted 13-7 on Tuesday to become the state’s second location to join Starbucks Workers United.

“Being a part of Starbucks Workers United is empowering,” employee Gadget Sansom said in Thursday’s news release. “I’m happy to be part of the collective trying to make things better for partners at Starbucks.”

The national organization announced that location’s vote to unionize on Dec. 4. In an X/Twitter post on Thursday, Starbucks Workers United hinted a decision on the 72nd and Dodge streets location would come next week.
