Rome, N.Y. (WHAM) — The lines are drawn in the New York state prison strike, with state officials making their third and final offer Thursday to prison workers who walked off the job illegally.

The state ordered them to return to work and imposed a deadline. Now, workers at 11 prisons are no longer on strike.

But that's not the case at Groveland Correctional Facility in Livingston County and Attica Correctional Facility in Wyoming County, where workers remain on the picket lines.

The new deal only applies to those who returned to work Friday and includes no disciplinary actions, more safety measures, continuing the partial suspicion of the HALT Act, avoiding 24-hour shifts at all costs and higher overtime pay.

Some officers have been terminated, and health insurance has also been canceled for hundreds of officers.
