Contrary to CW at DU, The UNC Center on Poverty, Work & Opportunity is not dead

While posting and responding this week on the trial of John Edwards, I have read many highly emotional posts denouncing Edwards that go far beyond his personal failings. Many posts allege that The University and Edwards had no interest in poverty except as a sham issue for the Edwards campaign. This line of attack was widespread in GOP circles, but such attacks by DUers on the honor and integrity of The University and The University Community can not be taken lightly nor their errors allowed to stand unchallenged.
