(22,767 posts)Etsy charges a flat fee for each item listed, each lasts only three months and you have to pay again to renew them. They take a percentage of the entire sale, including shipping even tho you have to spend that to mail the orders. They've always submitted a certain number of listings to Google Shopping every month free to the shop owners. Now they take a percentage of any sales that result from that, and shop owners are not allowed to opt out of the program.
And don't even get me started on the games they play with their algorithms, both on their site and Google. It's not a nice place to sell anymore and hasn't been for a very long time now.
Edited spelling and clarification.

(62,190 posts)She could definitely make some money, especially if she's using good gemstones. I've seen items like the necklaces for $150-300, depending on gems and design.

(967 posts)They have a free online store platform makes it much easier for people to purchase, I linked with my website and have had increasing sales. I am on ebay and etsy, dont want to be but at this time its about getting exposure. All our art shows are cancelled that's about 75 percent of my income.
Tutorial here for setup, it is easy to do.
