My Citibank Card
I opened a Citibank Card because they had an 18 month payback period, and I needed to fix the pool for the season. The bill came in and we noticed something called Extra Cash Account with an amount that was earned.
Going to the website, I began looking around to see what could be had for the Extra Cash amount.
Mainly it is a Groupon on Steroids account. You may purchase discounts on items from the site using your Extra Cash, or even BID in LIVE auctions.
I took a look at the closed auctions. Gift cards to businesses and restruants in $25-$50 denominations. BUT the winning bids? $25 Target card winning bid was $1040 Extra Cash! $50 Best Buy car, winning bid was $2080!
One receives, 10% of your purchase, not counting transfers and that goes into your Extra Cash account. So, for someone to have the 2K to bid on a $50 Best Buy card, they had to purchase 20K in merchandize with their card! I dont have enough in my account for a candy bar let alone anything good. I mainly got the card for its low intro cost and plan to pay the thing off and cut up the card.
