Today was the best day to find an IRS agent to talk to

Before the rush hour. They changed all the new schedules but the instructions for 1040 are still for 2018 so some does not make any sense. And I don't know that they will once the 2019 comes off the print.

Yes, I let TurboTax worry about it but I usually start putting numbers that I know the results.

Happy 2020.

and I've been using them since the early noughts.

Since they did away with the Per Diem deduction for truck drivers, I don't have to file that form and my taxes are a lot simpler. If I can get it done for free on say...CreditKarma.com for instance, I think it's time to tell TurboTax to go pound sand.

Especially since I learned they have been one of the primary lobbyists AGAINST free filing services.

I'm also interested how the $16.00 I owe the IRS is going to shake out! I never bothered to print out and send in an amended return, and further research showed that the real amount I owed was six bucks, not $16!

So...I'm clearly a dangerous fraudster.
