So basically they ( i.e. district hacks and parasites ) are claiming that he's neglecting his work by attending events that honor him ( and by extension the district that employs him ) for being state Teacher of the Year.

And he's NOT being restricted and retaliated against because he's openly gay. And TALKS about it.

I had a similar kerfuffle w. NYC ed bureaucracy in 2012. Deliberate, systematic creation of hostile working environments for teachers generally .... essentially the policy of this fed.DOE ( i.e. the DOE of Duncan and Obama)........emboldens and enables local boards to pull crap like this and get away with it.
