October is LGBT History Month

I'm retired now but used to look forward to this.

Lots of ideas and resources here:

http://www.glsen.org/unheardvoices.html

Includes a lot of material that can be viewed before downloaded.

The problem most PS teachers will have is squeezing LGBT History into the workday in this era of canned, corporate "one-size-fits-none" ersatz "pedagogy."

And the usual hassle from homophobic educrats. They're quieter than they used to be but , trust me, they're there. (Be prepared for resistance and at least some blowback if this is your first time trying to integrate this stuff.)

People in progressive private schools might have an easier time of it.
