(10,117 posts)...all of this. And it's the part of the story that is being missed by the general public.
I taught for 25 years. I worked with new teachers, student teachers and dedicated colleagues. My daughter became a teacher and left because of the lack of support. Leaving is rarely about the students...or the parents...or the community. It's the politics that influences EVERYTHING and undermines what good teachers do every day AND the goals they strive to reach for their students.
