I still post in GD in spite of posts dropping. Can't cross post here...

But maybe a link sometimes? It does get read at twitter, but hardly any there post at DU. I know most people here don't care, but at least they are more likely to see it.

I don't think we can cross post here in the ed forum. If I remember it is against the rules. Sometimes I will link. Many who used to recommend don't anymore. Some have gone to discussionist, some don't like to rec or post in my threads if they are controversial.

I put one up tonight about the DLC's impact on ed policy.

I do read and rec and comment here in ed forum a lot.

On edit...BTW there are a lot of education posters at Twitter and that's a good thing.

Guess I shouldn't be surprised, as I have thought about going else where as well.

I love posting at Daily Kos, have for years....just really hate seeing some of the changes here.

It's gotten more narrow here, more adversarial. Last summer was bad, with cliques and gangs that were more us-versus-them instead of, "What does this mean?" or "Help me to understand." Or even just calls to action.

Less civil.

GD, with a lot of emotional topics with little content, seems to be okay. But fact-based and contentful posts seem down. And it was the civil, thoughtful people who tended to be heavy posters of content instead of outrage.

Don't like Discussionist. Not fond of the format. It's a road pretty much not travelled. The kind of thing that a non-poster like myself (who doesn't have the discipline or attention span to monitor the responses to a single post to a thread, much less to monitor and do upkeep on a thread) can check a couple of times a week and miss little.

Not sure where else to go. Makes me look forward to when school starts and I barely have time to eat.

Once lately I posted part of something from GD, and I worried about it the whole time.

I hope you will continue to post here to keep us up-to-date on the latest goings-on in education.

I get updates in "My Subscriptions" when there is a new post in the Educ. group, but would probably miss it in GD. (Hope you will x-post for that reason.)

I miss Proud2BLiberalKansan (not sure of spelling) who used to post in Education a lot. I haven't seen her here in ages.

Thank you so much for your excellent well-researched posts. We education wonks do appreciate them!

and for you!

I can not find stuff by others. I looked up a few the other day here, and found their last posts were months ago.
