The Anchorage Assembly voted Tuesday to waive property taxes for Anchorage School District charter schools, an exemption already afforded to the district’s neighborhood schools.

I don't think privatized education should be paid for with public money. Schools are starved enough of adequate funding. And many charters aren't even required to follow the same open enrollment regs, like accepting disabled or 'troublesome' children.
