Happy New Year!! - Black-eyed peas are essential - recipe...

I'm just as happy with them with nothing but Tabasco on them, but this simple salsa rocks...

Canned black-eyed peas and corn (equal amounts). Red or orange bell pepper, chopped, and sweet onion (also chopped) if desired. Drain the cans well, mix them together and add a small amount of balsamic or red wine vinegar. It keeps well in a container in the fridge and is good cold or slightly nuked.

Right now I'm having popcorn. Soon I'll have homemade bread with pomegranate vinegar. Followed by cheap champagne! Then straight to bed

I'd eat peas/beans salads every day if it wasn't for my husband. It's horrible living with someone who doesn't appreciate bean salads.

Annoyingly corny, that's me from now on LOL

I'm going to my in-laws' later to watch them eat piggies for new years tradition. I'll turn the corny up real high!
I should have saved some cheap champagne to drink before I go over there
