STANTON, Neb. — A former deputy with the Stanton County Sheriff’s Office has been arrested in connection with the alleged torture of animals.

Special Deputy Stanton County Attorney Amy K. Miller filed a six-count complaint against Kirk Van Pelt of Stanton, according to a press release issued Friday morning.

Van Pelt worked for the Sheriff’s Office until February 2013, when he left because of a medical disability. He also serves on the Stanton school board.

He was charged with two counts of aiding and abetting cruel mistreatment of an animal and four counts of contributing to the delinquency of a child for his role in the mistreatment and death of a cat and opossum.

A little more at link. He is scum!
