A tortoise was set on fire by an Alabama man, allegedly to garner Facebook views.
In a live video, James Terrence Allen, 19, reportedly stated: "Give me 100 views and I'll light it," shortly before dousing the tortoise with alcohol and setting it ablaze.
He then reportedly threatened, "Give me 200 views or this (expletive) is gonna die."
Leonardo, a gopher tortoise, endured tremendous suffering after he was set on fire.
Fortunately, Leonardo suffered only minor injuries.
Allen faces a felony animal cruelty charge as well as a misdemeanor charge from the Alabama Game Warden, as the gopher tortoise is an endangered species.
Leonardo is recuperating at the Big Bend Wildlife Sanctuary in Enterprise and will be released back into the wild once he recovers.
Take a stand against animal abuse and recommend the maximum penalty in this case.

But you got me anyway.
And that's not enough for this guy. Jail in AL's gotta be pretty bad, I'll bet.
