Unfortunately the laws falls seriously short of compassionate treatment, and enforcement is notoriously lax.

Yeah, the abuse of farm animals in the US, especially these giant factory farms of chickens and pigs, is horrible.

Same goes for the rest of the factory farming situation. Almost all my donations go to fighting that; we desperately need stronger activism, legislation and enforcement.
