China's influence weighs on Solomon Islands election - CNA



Solomon Islanders voted in a national election on Wednesday (Apr 17), the first since Prime Minister Manasseh Sogavare switched diplomatic relations from Taiwan to Beijing soon after assuming the role in 2019. Dr Terence Wood, research fellow at the Australian National University's Development Policy Centre, weighs in on the possibility of Mr. Sogavare securing another term.
