I have a feeling he insisted on putting this video out just to show Putin being "honored" with the symbol of Ukraine. I'm sure his aides were all cringey. So far, he doesn't seem to have gained much in Vietnam, I haven't seen any video of an Emperor's welcom or found any news about any sort of defense pact or even if he found some retirement property he liked and whether the Vietnamese government would let him live in it long term. Seems like that trip might have been a bust.
