In this video I talk about the huge fall in Russian Bond Sales in 2024, despite the fact that Interest Rates and Yields are close to an all time high. This failure to raise funding is seriously bad news for Russia and the Russian Economy at a time when it is facing increasing sanctions and rising expenditure for the war in Ukraine.

I kept asking myself, why would they do that? I reason there is little downside from here. Russia will not disintegrate. It has an economy, assets may be cheap after the war ends. It's not a bet on the Russian State with Putin as we know it, it's a bet on Russia the territory, with or without Putin. But
