He fought for Russia, now he feels abandoned - Break The Fake - TVP WORLD

Propaganda is powerful. Convincing. Even heroic. Until someone from the inside starts asking uncomfortable questions. Mykola Koshevoy, a fighter aligned with the so-called “Donetsk People’s Republic” spent 8 years fighting under the banner of the “Russian world.” He believed in integration with Russia, he believed the promises. Now, after nearly a decade of loyalty, he feels abandoned. In an emotional video message, Koshevoy admits that public enthusiasm for the war has faded. Donations are scarce. Support feels symbolic, and despite eight years of service, he still hasn’t received a Russian passport. In a new episode of Break The Fake, Benjamin Lee tells you more about the gap between televised rhetoric and lived reality in Russia.
