Trump wins over AIPAC audience with strong pro-Israel stance

http://www.haaretz.com/world-news/u-s-election-2016/1.710188

'President Obama is the worst thing to happen to Israel,' Trump says to massive applause at AIPAC gathering, vowing to pressure Palestinians to accept Israel as Jewish state and Jerusalem as its capital.
...

Trump delivered broadsides against his likely rival in the general election, Hillary Clinton, calling her a “total disaster” and blaming her for last year’s Iran nuclear deal. The line earned laughter and applause, although Clinton’s speech, earlier in the day, was well received.

Trump’s biggest applause line was when he began a sentence, “President Obama, in his final year – yay!”

Useful reminder that AIPAC is part of the Dick Cheney wing of American politics.

1. Donald Trump’s AIPAC Speech Gets Muted Response
Mon Mar 21, 2016, 08:30 PM
Mar 2016

“I didn't come here tonight to pander to you about Israel”

Seeking to calm worries about his scant foreign policy credentials, Republican presidential front runner Donald Trump used his turn before the United States’ largest pro-Israel group to offer his view for the Middle East. He did himself few favors, often appearing to contradict himself and at times sounding just like the politicians he lambastes.

Trump earned a muted response from the bipartisan audience at the annual confab of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee. He delivered a carefully prepared speech off a teleprompter, breaking with a past promise to never use the devices. After opening with a pledge not to “pander” to the crowd, Trump did just that, dramatically altering his tone and policy toward Israel from what he has been espousing on the campaign trail.

Reminder, AIPAC is comprised of people from across the American political spectrum.

They are a foul right wing organization comprised of rightwing war mongers and racists. It is to their utter disgrace that so-called liberals pander to these Dick Cheneyesque shitheels.

Supporting Israel is a rightwing cause. And the love the AIPACers had for a fascist piece of slime like Trunp--and the hate they have for President Obama--makes complete sense.

Trump talks about Muslims the way AIPACers talk about Palestinians. It's a good fit.

That, and they share a war with Iran and a diplomatically isolated US as goals.

That us diametrically opposite of Democratic Party principle on Israel.

Sure you can support anyone in this party including Obama who says absolutely nothing similar to the visceral hate you display toward Israel, here in DU?

It sure isn't Democratic Party principle- at all.

And by a mile.

In comparison to the anti-Israel movement, AIPAC is extremely liberal.

The anti-Israel movement largely consists of leftwing fascists, neo-nazis, white supremacists, and holocaust deniers who support terror.

They nearly all consist of either Leftwing Fascists, Holocaust Deniers, White Supremacists or neo-Nazis who support terrorism against Jews.

And they couldn't give a shit about Palestinian Human rights.

I can't think of a Western movement more vile and disgusting than the anti-Israel one.

It's hardly debatable.

So between the Haaretz and Time Inc. portrayal what ACTUALLY happened and does it really matter so long as AIPAC chooses not to destroy either one? The contradictions seem to point easily to source prejudice.
