Security Council condemns deadly terrorist attack in Tel Aviv

9 June 2016 – The members of the Security Council today condemned in the strongest terms yesterday's terrorist attack in Tel Aviv, Israel, during which at least four civilians were killed and many more injured.

In a statement, the 15-member Council expressed its deepest sympathy and condolences to the families of the victims and to the Government of Israel, wishing a speedy recovery to those injured.

“The members of the Security Council reaffirmed that terrorism in all its forms and manifestations constitutes one of the most serious threats to international peace and security,” the statement indicated.

“The members of the Security Council underlined the need to bring perpetrators, organizers, financiers and sponsors of these reprehensible acts of terrorism to justice. They stressed that those responsible for these killings should be held accountable, and urged all States, in accordance with their obligations under international law and relevant Security Council resolutions, to cooperate actively with all relevant authorities in this regard,” it added.

8 June 2016 – United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon condemned today's terrorist attack in Tel Aviv in which Palestinian assailants killed at least four Israelis and injured four others.

In a statement from his spokesperson, the Secretary-General conveyed his condolences to the families of the victims and the Government of Israel.

There is no justification for terrorism nor for the glorification of those who commit such heinous acts,” Mr. Ban underscored, adding that he was shocked that the leaders of Hamas have chosen to welcome this attack and some to celebrate it.

He called upon the Palestinian leadership “to live up to their responsibility to stand firmly against violence and the incitement that fuels it.”

After over a year of terrorist attacks in Israel, the UN FINALLY decided to comment on it. Mighty big of them. Assholes. It's no wonder Israel and most Americans have no use for the UN.

Israel to Place Gorillas Near Gaza; Hopes Int’l Community Will Care About Rocket Attacks

Looking to raise awareness and concern over the flood of rockets launched from the Gaza Strip for the past decade, Israel has decided to place gorillas throughout the communities and neighboring towns surrounding Gaza.

“For years we’ve highlighted the deaths of innocent men, women, and children from these rockets, but people throughout Europe and on college campuses in the U.S. continued to support Hamas,” a spokesman for the Israeli government told The Mideast Beast. “After seeing the outpouring of anger over the death of Harambe the gorilla, we realized we’ve been doing it all wrong.”

Israel will now place a handful of gorillas in Ashdod, Ashkelon, Sderot and other communities in the south that have seen a high number of rocket attacks. While Hamas publicly insists the move won’t change its military approach, some Hamas commanders expressed concern in private conversations.
