Rewriting history, Abbas calls Israel a colonial project unrelated to Judaism

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas on Sunday night implied European Jews during the Holocaust chose to undergo “murder and slaughter” over emigration to British-held Palestine, and alleged that the State of Israel’s first prime minister David Ben-Gurion imported Jews from Yemen and Iraq to the country against their will.

The Palestinian leader further asserted that the State of Israel was formed as “a colonial project that has nothing to do with Judaism” to safeguard European interests.

The PA leader delivered a mini-lecture on his understanding of the history of Zionism on Sunday, claiming the Jewish state deliberately stirred trouble in Arab countries in order to forcibly move Middle Eastern Jews into the sparsely populated nascent state.

Abbas, in his address, made no mention of the Jews’ historic presence and periods of sovereignty in the holy land. Israel is the only place where the Jews have ever been sovereign or sought sovereignty.

you might want to learn who and what we are. Jews are not merely a religious group. They are "an ethnoreligious group and a nation originating from the Israelites..." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jews

The Israelites were the united Canaanite tribes of the western part of Canaan. And the Canaanites were the original indigenous people of the region. So the Jews are actually among the oldest nations on the planet.

Jews and Palestinians are brothers.

The study, published in the May 9 issue of the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, found that Jewish men shared a common set of genetic signatures with non-Jews from the Middle East, including Palestinians, Syrians, and Lebanese, and these signatures diverged significantly from non-Jewish men outside of this region. Consequently, Jews and Arabs share a common ancestor and are more closely related to one another than to non-Jews from other areas of the world. https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2000/05/000509003653.htm

All of this is very interesting, but I'm still not a fan theocracy, be it Jewish, Muslim or Christian. I use to work with a Palestinian Christian and he had no kind words Israel. Is he a bigot, most likely, but not any more than many of the Settlers in Occupied Palestine.
I'm a fan of equal rights, whether it be Israel or Persia. I don't consider any religion or race superior to any other and a big fan of the Universality of Mankind.

But so what? French and Germans are related, as are most Western Europeans. They are still different enough to warrant their own countries. And since Israel is not a theocracy, the rest of your post is irrelevant, to the limited extent that there is any truth to it.

What makes us human-our ideas, values, the ways that we live-those things make us different. Grownups recognize those differences, and understand that they need to be respected and accomodated where possible. If you want to experiment with childish ideas, do so on some other people besides the Jews.

Most of the 43 countries with state religions are in the Middle East and North Africa, with a cluster in northern Europe. Islam is the official religion in 27 countries in Asia and sub-Saharan Africa as well North Africa and the Middle East.

The OIC consists of 57 members, 56 of which are also member states of the United Nations. They are the collective voice of the Muslim world.

Lumping them all together doesn't change the fact that they exist. No one is calling for their annihilation either.

It's what they expect. He also knows that he won't pay a price among his foreign supporters for saying it. Which should tell people something about the supporters of the Palestinian cause.
