U.S. restores assistance for Palestinians, to provide $235 million in aid

WASHINGTON (Reuters) -The Biden administration announced on Wednesday it would provide $235 million in U.S. aid to the Palestinians, restarting funding for the United Nations agency supporting refugees and restoring other assistance cut off by then-President Donald Trump.
The package, including humanitarian, economic and development assistance, was detailed by U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken as part of an effort to repair American ties with the Palestinians that all but collapsed during Trumps tenure.
It marked Democratic President Joe Bidens most significant move since taking office on Jan. 20 to make good on his promise to roll back some components of his Republican predecessors approach that Palestinians denounced as heavily biased in favor of Israel.
The plan calls for $150 million through the United Nations relief agency UNRWA, $75 million in U.S. economic and development assistance and $10 million for peace-building programs, Blinken said in a statement.
Bidens aides have also signaled that they want to re-establish the goal of a negotiated two-state solution as a priority in U.S. policy on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

It's called Pay to Slay, and the PA pays out a couple 100 million a year to terrorists.
Money that came from the US or the UE is being used illegally, per US and International law.
Here is a NYT article about the issue.
Seeking Restart With Biden, Palestinians Eye End to Prisoner Payments

They haven't stopped the payments.

The Palestinian leadership pay criminals in jail
You mean the RightWing extremist Likud falsely claims that "The Palestinian leadership pay criminals in jail". Actually, the Palestinian government pays FAMILIES of those in Israeli prison for fighting back against Israel's Illegal Military Occupation.
It's called Pay to Slay
By the RightWing extremist Likud. Consider the source.
the PA pays out a couple 100 million a year to terrorists
Sorry, but fighting back against Illegal Military Occupation is not terrorism.
The 'Geneva Declaration on Terrorism', which the U.S. is a signatory to, states:
As repeatedly recognized by the United Nations General Assembly, peoples who are fighting against colonial domination and alien occupation and against racist regimes in the exercise of their right of self-determination have the right to use force to accomplish their objectives within the framework of international humanitarian law. Such lawful uses of force must not be confused with acts of international terrorism.
A little more discretion might be useful to you.

To them ant the other haters of Israel, it's oppression to prevent people from launching rocket attacks on you, you know, and a terrible thing to prevent suicide bombers from blowing up civilians.
