In the early afternoon of 29 November last year, several Palestinian boys descended on to their street in the occupied West Bank, where they often played together.
Minutes later, two of them lay dead from gunshots fired by Israeli soldiers - Basil, 15, and eight-year-old Adam.
As part of an investigation into the conduct of Israel's security forces in the West Bank, which has been under military occupation for more than half a century, the BBC has pieced together what happened on the day the two boys were killed.
Mobile phone and CCTV footage, information about the movements of Israel's military, witness testimony and detailed investigation of the scene, including taking measurements, combine to reveal evidence suggesting serious human rights violations.

(11,827 posts)None of the boys in the incident were armed, and the IDF shot the 8-year-old in the back of the head as he was trying to leave. The IDF is a terrorist organization with total immunity from Israel for freely murdering Palestinian civilians.

There may be questions... could have been used... if he was holding an explosive... this appears to be...
What a decidedly unequivocal accusation... of possible crimes!
And just look at the responses the OP triggered. It is not the non-existent accusation, it is the knee-jerk reactions to it that is of paramount importance, isn't it?

(11,137 posts)And I concluded, based on the article, that this is a glaring example of sloppy (investigative? Ha!) journalism crowned by a sensational headline that promises far more than the article delivers.
Which, of course, should not prevent you from posting shoddy stories for reasons other than their journalistic distinction. Just don't be surprised that readers are free to assess a lot more than what you expect them to assess.

(8,492 posts)That shooting a eight year old kid in the back of the head is pretty much all you need to know about this situation. For some of us that was all we needed to asses this article.

And relieved that saying things to me made someone fine.
Good night!
It was
saying it to you was fine. That means the act of saying it to you was fine.
Not that it made me fine. Not sure how you got that from what I said.

(11,137 posts)Or makes you fine but not makes it fine.Take your pick and go with it!
Either way, this acting out the act of saying it to me made me bored. Or is it the acting out the act of saying it to me that makes it boring whether I am bored or not?

(8,492 posts)Its interesting how much out of your way you have gone to say nothing about that. But you know, saying something that I did not say and when confronted on it you just keep on talking about the thing I did not say,,,,,,,,instead of actually responding to the point I brought up. Bored, Interesting.

(11,137 posts)Is it not fine anymore?
Didn't you get it yet? I am not interested in conducting bad faith exchanges. I was initially responding to not you. I didn't invite your comments and I don't care for them. The first thing I did was direct you to the poster who would be interested. You said no, saying it to me was fine.
Well, you said it. And it is fine. End of story. Good bye.
Eko
(8,492 posts)Nowhere did I say it made me feel fine but you decided that it did. I'm not sure what a bad faith exchange is but would that be one? Where someone puts words in someone else's mouth? I'll have to think about it and do some research.
Have a good one,
Eko.
