Ulysses Grant wrote in his autobiography that Buchanan and his cronies secretly shipped massive amounts of military supplies and armaments and equipment to hiding places in the South, to give their budding Confederacy the advantage in the coming Civil War. And Elizabeth Keckley wrote in her autobiography about a conversation with Mrs. Buchanan in which Mrs. Buchanan implied that a lot of preparation was underway. Apparently these actions were premeditated, and they seem pretty malicious to me.

and is presumed to have been gay due to his close relationship with Rufus King, his long-time roommate and frequent partner at social events. That said, he really made a hash of things before the Civil War, and he also supported the Dred Scott decision. But his malfeasances pale in comparison to Trump's.

I went back and checked in the book Behind the Scenes by Elizabeth Keckley. She was a former slave, who taught herself to sew and read and write very well, and built up a sewing business in Washington DC just before the Civil War. Mrs. Jefferson Davis was one of her clients. At one point, Mrs. Jefferson Davis confided that her husband and other men were preparing for a civil war, and she urged Elizabeth Keckley to go south with the Davis family to avoid the danger and the hatred northern whites supposedly felt for black people. Mrs. Davis told Mrs. Keckley that Jefferson Davis was set to be the Confederate President, that the south would surely win the war, and that the Davis family would surely be moving into the White House soon after that. "I will take good care of you," Mrs. Davis said.

Mrs. Keckley was not deceived by this statement.

Whether someone is the worst or the best of anything is always a matter of opinion and therefore not provable in the scientific sense, but the damage he has done, not just wrt covid19, certainly provides enough evidence to beat out the previous generally-agreed worst president, James Buchanan. Buchanan's support of slavery and his refusal to take any action to prevent the Civil War is generally cited as the basis for giving him the Worst President award, but even he doesn't seem to have been deliberately and enthusiastically malicious about everything he did.

It must have been some other prominent Southern white lady. Elizabeth Keckley had a little sewing business in Washington, DC during the Civil War era, and one of these ladies told her about preparations for an upcoming Civil War to keep their slave system going. I should have gone back and checked first.

he will be proven to be the ...Worst President Ever!!!
Number 1
He didn't just ignore the pandemic, he called it a "hoax". Because of this calling a "hoax" he killed people..

His language (utterly stupid language, and a total lie) killed people. And in addition, he never followed
up and said, "This is no hoax, I urge everyone to wear a mask, I made a mistake for saying that"

What is so clear is that he didn't give a damn about deaths in the U.S.A. due to his words. He still
doesn't give a damn about anything but himself. What is totally clear, is that Donald Trump hates
people, except those who see him as some sort of God.

But here is the main idea: There was a threat to the United States, and Donald Trump didn't battle the threat, instead Donald Trump encouraged people to ignore the threat and subsequently by ignoring the threat, he killed people

Also: 2. Donald Trump encouraged an insurrection, and that will also go down with him. An insurrection that killed people too
