Elon Musk buying Twitter will destroy his fortune. All the publicity I've read is very bad.

Another one who was sure he could..."Bet Away With It"

No proof at this point, but lots of competition coming to Tesla.
Do you think he will be able to pay back the loans that he has gotten.

Maybe, Maybe Not ....we will see.

I think that Elon Musk likes to be the ...Boss.....That is my opinion and I think that is what will happen.

We've been calling for the demise of facebook and it's still doing relatively well. Getting bad publicity in the US doesn't translate to losing their reach in the global stage. Both twitter and facebook have global reach and I am not sure bad press in the US (especially only from democrats) is enough to topple such a huge company.

Though, I don't know how Musk changes (to pay for blue checks, to pay for content) will be received by the global market.

No doubt Elon is smart, but he's also incredibly egotistical. He probably figures, "I shot a convertible with an empty space suit into space, and it wasn't returned with the Locnar yet. How hard can running a social media company be?" This might be one of the most classic, "Eff around and find out," moments in history.

The Dunning-Kruger effect is a cognitive bias in which people wrongly overestimate their knowledge or ability in a specific area. This tends to occur because a lack of self-awareness prevents them from accurately assessing their own skills.

Did you get the Locnar reference?

Was a long time ago... Back in 1981, based on a famous sf&f illustrated magazine. It's a Family favorite. Animation style hasn't aged well, but the loosely tied together set of stories are entertaining.

"Don't worry, I've got an angle."
"Going around with my dork hanging out."
"Good nyborg, man."

Are among many notable quotes. Anyone have any more?

In age. Not behavior.

Anyway, opening to Heavy Metal. He's got a glowing orb called the Locnar that is the personification of all evil but of course doesn't realize it like a big dummy. It's mainly a plot device to tie together a bunch of different animated stories.
