Creative Speculation

Why didn't the Bush Regime want an investigation into the biggest crime against America in history? Why did it take the families of the victims to finally get an investigation? Why select Henry Kissinger to lead it? Why under-fund it? Why did Bush and Cheney insist on not being under oath while testifying? Why are 28 critical pages hidden from the world?
For asking these questions, people are mocked, ridiculed and scorned.

I've never seen that, here or elsewhere -- not for "asking these questions" -- and I defy you to provide an example. What I have seen is "truthers" using questions as a rhetorical device to promote their own "obvious answers" which they claim are "the truth," and those answers being "mocked, ridiculed and scorned" because they are so absurd and/or unsubstantiated. It is true people who persist in promoting their unsubstantiated speculations as "truth" after it's been shown that their reasons range from unconvincing to misinformed to downright laughable are likely to be ridiculed, and rightly so, but that's not what you are saying above.
The bullshit about "I'm being mocked, ridiculed and scorned for just asking questions" is just another example of the intellectual dishonesty of the "truth movement": They can't even be honest about what they do and the validity of the criticisms leveled at their implausible and unsubstantiated claims.
BTW, Martin has apparently renounced Trutherism, but the fact that she fell for it at one time implies that, like Ventura, she didn't do the journalist's due diligence of actually investigating claims made by people like David Ray Griffin and Richard Gage, to get the other side of the story before making up her mind. If that came later, then good for her, and it does prove that occasionally people do escape from the spiraling delusions that lead conspiracists farther and farther away from evidence-based reasoning.

(2,169 posts)didn't want an investigation into the most spectacular crime against the US in history? Kindly answer just one of the questions posed. TIA.
BTW: you cite an article by a one DEB RIECHMANN dated March 5, 2014 wherein Ms. Riechmann states: "She once protested with the 9/11 Truth movement, which alleges that U.S. government officials might have been complicit in the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks a theory to which Martin says she no longer subscribes."
Ms. Riechmann offers no link to support her claim. But even if it's true- that Martin "No longer subscribes" to the "theory" that US Gov officials might have been complicit in the attacks it doesn't mean she isn't skeptical of the Official Conspiracy Theory. The Ventura/Martin exchange is dated Sep 12, 2014. SO when it comes to what Abby Martin believes- you can believe Deb Riechmann, or Abby Martin. Your choice.

A look at Riechmann's AP summary page is instructive. Here's another one. Here she is at Salon. She's on twitter since 2011 and has tweeted 4 times but has apparently deleted those.
"Just finished three-year stint for Associated Press in Afghanistan and now cover the State Department for AP"
I'll believe Abby Martin before Deb Riechmann anyday.

(1,443 posts)If you think there were no explosions, you might want to turn up your hearing aid and listen.
Several ground level explosions recorded on the morning of 9/11, and widely reported on live news.

(20,618 posts)you know...just to be sure.
no way could they have been generators, transformers, pieces collapsing or anything like that.

(1,443 posts)Except that it makes zero sense for electrical generators in the basement to blow up,
when the impact zone of the airplanes were some 80 to 90 floors up. Try again.
pieces collapsing? LOL. where do you get this stuff ? these explosions took place well before the towers fell.
