Conservative Christian says it's OK for Trump to sleep with "1000 women" but Buttigieg is unnatural

Dave Daubenmire, a conservative commentator who once referred to Pete Buttigieg as “Pete Buttplug” before wondering about his preferred sexual positions, has released a video saying it’d be “beyond wicked” to elect Buttigieg as president because of his “immoral” and “unnatural” sex life.

In his video, Daubenmire said, “Donald Trump sleeping with a thousand women — I don’t know — is a perfectly normal human response, but immoral. But Mayor Pete Buttplug — I said that again on purpose — what he is doing is not only immoral, it’s unnatural, it’s a crime against nature.”

Daubenmire, who has been hired in the past as a keynote speaker at an official GOP event, added, “If a man cannot figure out what to do with his sexual organs, he has no business being in the White House…. It doesn’t even make sense, yet people are actively considering allowing that man to be president of the United States. It’s beyond wicked.”

In the past, Daubenmire has also said, “We need to make homosexuality unthinkable again. It needs to go back in the closet.”

I am shocked! Just shocked homophobia is playing a part in the "criticism" of Pete. SHOCKED!

principles of of Christian life.

If he were conservative, he would know that minding your own business is central to conservatism.

Since he admits to neither, he should consider himself pretty damn lucky the jealous guard of the Old Testament doesn't exist.

. . .is not immoral if you happen to be a king*. It's illegal in this time and place, but the Bible doesn't declare it immoral.

Of course there are a lot of things that the Bible doesn't flatly call immoral that I find repugnant. And there are a lot of things that the Bible does firmly declare immoral that I don't think are a problem at all.

Now that I am thinking about it, does the Bible plainly declare that being a miserable human being is a sin? Probably not. But there are likely to be more philosophical views on the subject in Proverbs.

One way or the other, Daubenmire is putting in his efforts to make life a hell on earth for others because it clearly must be some version of that for him. No wonder the poor schmuck looks forward to heaven so much. He's done such a great job of robbing his time here of any possible joy.

* Provided you assign concubinage status to all the women you sleep with.

Preacher’s jobs being to remind people like our Illegitimate President that his passion and pride will get him sent straight to Hell. I guess the rules changed?

RW evangelicals like Dave don't realize that their glaring hypocrisy in greenlighting all immoral Trump conduct has rendered them ineligible to ever pass judgment on LGBTQ persons, or anyone else, for that matter.

Morality: do no harm.

(Beware the fear-based authoritarians. They are immoral. Just my .02 cents...)
