About the Colorado shooting

I just want to tell the lgbt members here (and the lgbt people everywhere) that you are treasures.

You are special and important and loved and I will fight for your right to be who you are and love who you love, as long as I live.

I'm so sorry people are so stupid and judgemental and just evil, and I am crying with you.

(If this is posted on the wrong place - should it be a thread? - I apologize in advance but I just had to say it. )

I chose my friends n those I associate with. My family and I are in agreement and have had conversations about gender n race and I consider myself fortunate as it was not that way with my parents. At all. They were evangelicals and I will say I’m glad they are not here as my life would be a lot harder with their drama n hate. Yes..I am very thankful

The attack lasted a minute or so before the bar patrons subdued the shooter.

Good to know the intended victims were not passive.

Sadly, events like these “piggy-back” one upon the other. It’s a cumulative trauma. As a gay person, I always have an awareness of my surroundings.

Similarly - mass shootings have all people assessing exit routes, etc. when they’re in public places. It’s hard for me to believe we choose to live like this.
