No problems. Only love!

(33,643 posts)Lemme guess ... is it in Murphy's?
Downtown there seems like a perfect spot, given the general region.

(33,643 posts)I was baptized Episcopal myself (as was everyone in my family), though never been religious.
My grandparents attended when they lived in Groveland, actually.

(18,670 posts)I'm hoping to go to a local pride event next Sunday. Was planning to go last year, but we had a mini heatwave, and I can't stand being outside when it's hot and humid. It literally makes me physically ill. So I flaked. Hoping for better weather this year.
Right now the forecast is looking really good. Hoping it holds!

(18,602 posts)and found a wild and festive headband with stars and such bouncing off of it. The parade route was a couple blocks from our apartment. Husband and I arrived in just in time to see the cutest chihuahua decked out in a tutu and the Mayor at the time walking by. The street corner we were at was bubbling with joy, smiles and laughter. Husband went back to the apartment and I walked a few more blocks away from the parade to get takeout from Beyond Sushi. There was what appeared to be a homeless woman near the entrance to the restaurant. As I neared she asked if I was a lesbian and I answered no, but I wanted to support Gay Pride. She asked me why, and I said everyone should be able to safely and happily love whoever they love. I asked if she would like a meal and she said yes. On the way out I handed her a meal and she said thanks and added I never thought of it that way before. It was a wonderful day.
Enjoy your Pride outing! And glad your ❤️ is calm and collected!
