It’s painful to recall that the world’s dumbest man was elected over a most qualified woman, but hope is a danger for the right

This week, I got to see Hillary Clinton speak to a crowd of 600 women when she made an appearance at the women-only social club the Wing. It was strange to watch this brilliant, knowledgeable woman and know that she could have been our president right now. It was painful, actually. And I wasn’t the only one who felt it – women in the room were openly shedding tears as she spoke. Seeing her was a reminder to many, I think, that we’ve made so little progress that the world’s dumbest and most awful man could win the presidency over the world’s most qualified woman.

But somehow getting to listen to her talk in a room with only women also made me hopeful. So often women are told to keep quiet and get over it – even Clinton, who has been harangued by rightwing media and told to disappear even as they talk about her nearly every day. For a few minutes, we got to be sad together without anyone telling us to suck it up. By the time we left, though, we were angry and inspired – a far more dangerous combination for the right.

Every freaking day I go through this. It is painful to watch the self promoted sexual assaulter in chief demean us with every breath he takes. Now trying to go after Hillary, yet again, out of vindictiveness. He has to be the sorest winner in history.

Pathetic voters that dropped the ball own the fascist shithole we're now staring at.
They chose fascism over THIS:

Hillary's vision for America

During her 2016 campaign for president, Hillary and her team laid out a comprehensive progressive vision for America’s future.

**A fair tax system
Making sure the wealthy, Wall Street, and corporations pay their fair share in taxes.

**Addiction and substance use
Through improved treatment, prevention, and training, we can end this quiet epidemic once and for all.

**An economy that works for everyone
We need to build an economy that works for everyone, not just those at the top.

**An end to Alzheimer’s disease
We can prevent, effectively treat, and make an Alzheimer’s cure possible by 2025.

**Autism
Millions of Americans live with autism—and we’ve got to do more to support them and their families.

**Campaign finance reform
Our democracy should work for everyone, not just the wealthy and well-connected.

**Campus sexual assault
It’s not enough to condemn campus sexual assault. We need to end it.

**Climate change
Taking on the threat of climate change and making America the world’s clean energy superpower.

**Combating terrorism and keeping the homeland safe
It’s not enough to contain ISIS and the threat of terrorism—we have to defeat it.

**Criminal justice reform
Our criminal justice system is out of balance.

**Disability rights
We must continue to expand opportunities for Americans with disabilities.

**Early childhood education
Every child deserves the chance to live up to his or her God-given potential.

**Fixing America’s infrastructure
Strong infrastructure is critical to a strong economy.

**Gun violence prevention
We can—and must—end the epidemic of gun violence.

**Health care
Universal, quality, affordable health care for everyone in America

**HIV and AIDS
We have reached a critical moment in our fight against HIV and AIDS.

**Housing
We need housing policies that connect working families to opportunity.

**Immigration reform
We need comprehensive immigration reform with a pathway to full and equal citizenship.

**Jobs and wages
We can make the boldest investment in good-paying jobs since World War II.

**K-12 education
Strong public education is the key to preparing our children for the future.

**Labor and workers’ rights
When unions are strong, America is strong.

**LGBT rights and equality
Lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender Americans deserve to live their lives free from discrimination.

**Making college debt-free and taking on student debt
Hillary will make debt-free college available to everyone and take on student loan debt.

**Manufacturing
Hillary Clinton’s plan to strengthen manufacturing so we always “Make it in America.”

**Mental health
We have to address the mental health crisis in America and end the stigma and shame associated with treatment.

**Military and defense
We should maintain the best-trained, best-equipped, and strongest military the world has ever known.

**National security
With policies that keep us strong and safe, America will lead the world in the 21st century.
National service
Do all the good you can.

**Paid family and medical leave
It’s time to guarantee paid family and medical leave in America.

**Poverty
No child should ever have to grow up in poverty.

**Protecting animals and wildlife
The way our society treats animals is a reflection of our humanity.

**Racial justice
America’s long struggle with race is far from finished.

**Rural communities
America’s rural communities are the backbone of this country.

**Small business
We have to level the playing field for America’s small businesses.

**Social Security and Medicare
We must preserve, protect, and strengthen these lifelines.

**Technology and innovation
We can harness the power of technology and innovation to work for all Americans.

**Veterans, the armed forces, and their families
America must fully commit to supporting veterans.

**Voting rights
We should be making it easier to vote, not harder.

**Wall Street reform
Wall Street must work for Main Street.

**Women’s rights and opportunity
We need to break down barriers that hold women back.

**Workforce skills and job training
Every American should be able to learn the skills they need to compete and succeed.

In case anyone missed her impressive platform of "The Four Fights", you can read it here:

https://ivn.us/2015/06/17/hillary-clinton-four-fights-for-you-strategy/

We should have had THIS right now. NO ONE had a better policy plan for America's future.
NO ONE even came close & her vote #'s proved that.

Pay fking attention next time around.
Do your research rather than relying on MSM & slick salesmen vying for your vote.

Stop voting in Republicans!!

Thanks for the Thread.
It stands to remind everyone of the shysters & organized criminal network of billionares & liars eyeing their next meal at the Taxpayers trough.

2018 election will forever determine the course of our country, and its status today is fragile.

13. Yes we did Niyad. I think of how many fought so hard for women's rights
Mon Apr 9, 2018, 01:15 PM
Apr 2018

..throughout the years.
They made inroads to basic equality one step at a time & to see so many take those rights for granted with their one vote, is truly the slap in the face of all who gave everything they had in challenging the patriarchy that rules again now.

They gave it all away in the blink of an eye.

How we gain back those rights of governance over our own bodies & basic rights of equality will take a woman or wise man that will demand it all be restored.
That devoted leader has yet to emerge for 2020.

Human rights & respect for all is being removed as the select few are exhalted.

The horrific outcome of not appreciating what one has been given until it is gone is why we should indeed revisit the worth of Hillary Clinton every day.

She well knew the fight.

Know the background of who that one precious vote will be given in 2018/20.

11. Our Country Lost a Wonderful Opportunity for a Talented and Hardworking Leader

Instead, we have Trump and all the negatives that he is. Every day, we have a glaring example of the very high cost of sexism and misogyny. Telling Americans and, especially, women to "get over it" when more and more evidence is coming to light that the election was stolen, is cynicism at it's worst.

The mockery & disregarding of these rights as we now see them addressed only as a passing thought in a campaign op is one more example of patting women on the head as they ask for their dinner.

It is up to us to see that it doesn't get conveniently moved to a campaign afterthought.

We carry the same torch of those who went before us.
Here are a few:

FEMINISM AT WORK,” Pays Tribute To Pioneers Who Moved Women’s History Forward

“The story of women’s struggle for equality belongs to no single feminist nor to any one organization but to the collective efforts of all who care about human rights.” – Gloria Steinem

Scroll down past Steinam's quote in bold and read the story of each persistant woman in the illustration.

Hillary Clinton is depicted handing that Woman's Equal Rights torch to the generation that will follow her ...
Who'll that be?

Number one and two are my two daughters. I want them to understand they are just as capable and important as anybody who happens to have a penis.

Here is my oldest during the womens’ match January 2017. My wife and daughters were watching it live on TV and she ran upstairs into her room for 20 minutes before coming down with her own protest sign!

[img][/img]

My youngest always gets in trouble at school for hitting boys and standing up for herself and her friends. (Although her teacher has pulled her aside and said that she was proud of her).

Not just with my own kids, but recent events have shown me that the future generation is going to be great for this country.

We may have had a setback with Hillary Clinton’s absence from the Oval Office, but I’m confident that we are on the cusp of a major shift in our nation for the better. Our children prove that to me.

..young girls, women who had their future of equality taken from them & traded for the promise of a bag of free stuff.

Mabe her generation will be wiser than some adults in 2016.

Your pic is beautiful & reminds us of why the fight goes on.

Thank you for posting it for us.
