An interesting piece of trivia about the fight for the 19th Amendment. From 1776

to 1848--Seneca Falls-- was 72 years. From 1848 to final ratification of 19A in 1920 was 72 years. 144 years to gain some semblance of equality in this supposed "greatest, bestest country in the world" and the fucking misogynist bastards are trying to strip women of every small advance we have made toward equality and recognition as full human beings in this patriarchal society. We are regressing and devolving as other nations are progressing and evolving. FUCK the misogynists. FUCK the woman-haters. FUCK the "christian" nationalist talibangelicals. SIDEWAYS. WITH RUSTY CHAINSAWS.

If they inherited money and/or property from their father and then married, the wives lost their rights to those interests. IOW, they didn't own it anymore; their husbands did.

Same for their wages. Went right to their husbands.

No wonder women had no franchise and no power. They were enslaved and penniless.

Coverture. Make sure it doesn't return in Project 2025.

and own a credit card in our own name. I had just turned 18 and was already into my Air Force service gig. So, I could fight and die for the country, but until that point, I couldn't have a credit card in my own name, let alone buy a house or a car or get it registered solely in my name.

And yes, they want to strip all this away from us! They especially want to strip us of our voting rights. I'm not willing to go back a couple hundred years into the past. The point at which they've pushed now is the line of "no more" for me, and what they've done so far shall not stand!

“I long to hear that you have declared an independency. And, by the way, in the new code of laws which I suppose it will be necessary for you to make, I desire you would remember the ladies and be more generous and favorable to them than your ancestors. Do not put such unlimited power into the hands of the husbands. Remember, all men would be tyrants if they could. If particular care and attention is not paid to the ladies, we are determined to foment a rebellion, and will not hold ourselves bound by any laws in which we have no voice or representation.”

..that could have been beneficial to society, that was not ever came to light, simply because many women were squashed like
inmates of manly social ignorance.
