Karen Decrow has passed away

http://www.syracuse.com/news/index.ssf/2014/06/karen_decrow_dead_former_now_leader_and_feminist_lawyer.html

Heard this on the way home.

"Syracuse, N.Y. -- Karen DeCrow, a nationally recognized lawyer, author and leader of the women's movement, died today.

DeCrow, 76, of Jamesville, died at home at 6 a.m. after an extended illness, according to long-time friend Rowena Malamud, president of the Greater Syracuse chapter of the National Organization for Women.

"She was one of my heroes," Malamud said."

She headed NOW during an interesting time and her writing on sexual bias in the law was eye opening.
RIP.
