In the Poetry Forum, I wrote a Trilogy about Abortion Rights

from three perspectives of reproductive rights denial to women in need.

Too many of the assumptions regarding female fertility rests on the promise of children, not the strength and nurturing abilities of women not just to our own progeny, but to anyone at all. Our ability to "mother" or "parent" is a skill that we can learn and develop outside of our biological "destiny". In the meantime, the understanding that our physical viability as parents isn't the first and last word of our existence should be recognized. And even a truncated view of our history should be inspected.

Because women's knowledge about their own bodies and their needs are so easily put aside.
